Sea Otter Race Report – Jacob Carter-Gibb
We got in to San Jose on Thursday night and pre rode most of the course on Friday.
On Sunday we had to get up a 4:15 to go from San Jose and get to the race early enough to warm up.
The race it’s self was pretty good I did two goos which I hadn’t ever done before and they made a big difference to help me keep from bonking.
I passed between 3-10 people on every descent and on the climbs I had the lungs but not the legs and had a hard time staying with the Cali kids.
In the end I finished 10 minutes back on a 1:45 minute course and about middle of the pack
All in all, a pretty good first race of the season and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.
