SafeSport Class Mandatory for High School Team
SafeSport and its philosophy are a core part of the BJC community. We require ALL High School athletes and ALL High School parents to complete the short online class before the first practice. It only takes 15-30 minutes to complete.
Athletes will NOT be allowed at practice until their certification AND their parent’s certifications are complete. Even if you have taken the class before, you must take it again in 2024. Thank you for doing your part in keeping our team safe!
WHAT IS SAFESPORT?
SafeSport is a set of resources and policies to protect athletes from bullying, harassment, hazing, physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and sexual misconduct.
BJC requires all high-school aged athletes, all parents, and all coaches to take a basic-level online SafeSport course, and send our staff your certificate of completion.
Athletes and parents are required to take the course EVERY YEAR. This includes ALL PARENTS, both Mom, Dad, etc. Even if you have taken the class before, you must take it again in 2024.
We’re proud to have earned Gold Level Certification for SafeSport, the highest level available.
