BJC Bike-a-Thon: Get Involved and Start Fundraising!
Help us reach our $30,000 goal!
The BJC Bike-a-Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we want every athlete to get involved! It’s a fun way for kids to give back to their team, support their teammates, and help BJC continue providing great cycling programs.
Bike-a-Thon Celebration: Tuesday, October 27, at Loreland
The Bike-a-Thon is one of the most fun BJC days of the year! It’s a festival and celebration of our team, with a fun course to ride, skills contests, games, challenges, and plenty of good times with teammates and coaches. It’s all about having fun on bikes, celebrating our community, and giving back to the team.
All BJC athletes ages 9+ are encouraged to participate. All types of bikes are welcome! All groups will meet at Loreland for this special event.
And don’t forget—athletes can earn prizes for fundraising! The more money you raise, the more prizes you can win.
Step 1: Set Up Your Fundraising Page
It only takes a few minutes to get started! Every athlete should create their own fundraising page through PledgeReg.
- Go to the BJC Bike-a-Thon registration page.
- Click “Register and Be a Fundraiser.”
- Register the athlete using a BikeReg account or as a guest.
- Enter the athlete’s information and click “Proceed to Checkout.”
- Scroll down and click the green “Submit Order” button. Registration is free!
- Follow the prompts to create your personal fundraising page.
- Add a profile photo and personalize your page. The default fundraising goal is $300, but you can change it under Advanced Settings.
- You’re ready to start fundraising!
Step 2: Share Your Page and Start Raising Money
Once your page is set up, share it with family, friends, neighbors, and others who might want to support you.
Use the “Share My Page” option to send emails or post to social media, or simply copy your fundraising link and send it directly.
Don’t be shy about asking! People are often happy to support young athletes and a great community organization. Even small donations add up.
Why Are We Fundraising?
BJC keeps program fees below the actual cost of delivering our programs so more families can participate. Community fundraising helps make that possible.
The money raised through the Bike-a-Thon will help us:
- Provide more scholarships for families who need financial assistance.
- Invest in coach education and development.
- Improve and expand our youth cycling programs and curriculum.
Our goal this year is $30,000, and every athlete can help us get there.
Let’s Do This, BJC!
Setting up your page is easy, fundraising can be fun, and it’s a great opportunity to give something back to the team that gives us so much.
Set up your page today, start sharing, and help us make this year’s Bike-a-Thon a success!
