BJC Alumni Network Newsletter – Volume 1 • September 2025
Volume 1 • September 2025
Welcome to the Alumni Network!
This is our very first newsletter! Thanks to everyone who has joined so far — our network is already 40+ strong. The goal is to keep BJC alumni connected, share what’s happening in our cycling world, and create opportunities for rides, mentoring, and fun! Let’s keep the stoke of BJC going!
Kickoff Event – Recap
Thanks to everyone who came to our launch event at the Trek Store in Boulder last week. It was great to eat pizza, share stories, and connect with BJC alums across a decade of riding. We chatted about mentoring opportunities, networking events, giving back to the community, and of course bikes! We’ll definitely do more casual meet-ups like this in the future!

BJC News & Events

- Adult Cyclocross Club
New this fall! We launched the BJC Adult CX Club, open to all levels. It’s low-pressure, fun, and a great way to stay connected with the sport. No team kits, no fees — just racing and riding together. Group training every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at Valmont. Join the club (Sign up here & join the Group Chat)
Alumni Racing & Adventures
Natalie Quinn (Cynisca) took the win at the Heusdenkoers kermesse in Belgium and also won the mountains jersey at the Volta a Portugal Feminina. Let’s go Nat!
Riley Sheehan (Israel-Premier Tech) has been on a tear, taking 3rd in the G.C. at the Lidl Deutschland Tour and 4th in G.C. at the Arctic Race of Norway with a flurry of top 5 stage results included.
Maddie Munro (Trek Factory) recently took on the first three stages of our own front range race The Brek Epic, a gnarly multi-day stage race! To balance her World Cup Schedule she only participated in the first three stages, but after stage 2 she was already in the lead by 20+ minutes! What an epic ride!
Grant Ellwood has recently taken on the role of the CU cycling coach helping them train and prep so they can continue to tear up the local Colorado collegiate conference! Grant, having had a hugely successful collegiate career and a love for sharing the stoke, continues to give back to the community! He’s also expanding his role into their MTB and CX teams!
